I found this 1960's Delmonico Stereo Console on Ebay. Since the stereo and phonograph were beyond repair I decided to revamp it with new components. The cabinet itself was in pretty bad shape and had faux wood finish so I veneered it with walnut wood veneer. Here are the pictures of the process and final result.

New interior for components. I fabricated a housing to hold the new radio and amplifier. Brass bushing added for wiring. New speakers and speaker grill covers.
Completed cabinet with American Chestnut stain and 5 coats of semi-gloss polyeurathane.
With top open and white interior
New Brik Audio internet radio and amplifier. It has three inputs for playing radio, ipod and phonograph.
The new phonograph is the Essntial II model by Pro-Ject.
