        Rehab Process

      The compressed wood bottom was dry rotted and crumbling.

     Repairs were done to what could be fixed. I then added a new plywood bottom mounted from 

     inside the cabinet.

     Original components removed

    removed original finish and made repairs to the exterior

    New walnut wood veneer applied to the exterior of the cabinet

     

     New fabricated plinth to hold new phonograph.

     New fabricated faceplate to hold new receiver.

     Custom painted faceplate with striping design and bronze accent color to keep in the style of the               original era.

     Phonograph installed with plinth painted black.

    New stereo fabric applied. 

    Telefunken badge repainted to original colors.

    LED lights added with switches that turn on when lids are lifted

    Completed cabinet with dark walnut stain & satin polyurethane finish. Bronze paint applied to front            edge of top lids.
